Is it a bird? A plane? No, it's Superfruit!

Did you know we had an Asian superfruit? I didn't know this until I found out this morning. It's called gâc (Momordia Cochinchinemis Spreng), grows on vines and is native to Vietnam but found all over SouthEast Asia. I think I've seen it before in local markets (you can't miss it - it's bright-red fruit that grows as large as a cantaloupe), but had no idea that it had medicinal properties. Hey, I thought it was just a fruit! LOL!

Gâc has up to ten times the beta-carotene of carrots and seventy times the lycopene of tomatoes. The Vietnamese use it to promote healthy vision and now the West is picking up on this superfruit. Gâc fruit oil is incorporated into the
R.G. Skin Revitalizer as beta-carotene, a natural carotenoid antioxidant found abundantly in Gâc fruit, is better absorbed into your system than juice. It helps to boost the immune system and assists the skin’s cellular rejuvenation process. No weird chemicals involved, this is an all natural product that protects your skin against damaging free radicals from the inside out and rejuvenates your skin too.

Hmm... antioxidant, cellular rejuvenation, promises of healthy skin. Yes, I want that! (I'm only female, after all. We are afraid of looking older no matter what age we are. Teeheehee!)

Isn't is amazing how a fruit that is known as GAC ("gack") has so many good properties?
