And then there were bugs

Now I am the first to admit that I have a horror-movie phobia. That is, I don't like horror movies, especially those slasher type movies. But I have a sneaking fascination for monster movies because I like to scare myself with sharks (or killer fish), snakes, crocodiles, dinosaurs and these mean animals are generally mutated. I'm on the fence when it comes to bugs - they are part of creepy-crawlies and I chicken out of them.

Then this bug movie poster caught my eye. Bug by Lionsgate Films. Hmm... looks interesting. Wonder what kind of bugs these are. Mutant bugs? Alien bugs? Hybrid bugs? The ol' curiousity is pricked mainly because of Harry Connick Jr. Harry is in this movie? I wonder what he's up to and if he's the good guy or the bad guy (and if he can act? He's a singer, right?). Then there's Ashley Judd too. She's touted as giving a shattering, Oscar-worthy performance in this movie. I can think of a glass shattering scream ala Psycho already! Or maybe she's like the Borg queen. And the bugs - do they invade bodies for hosts? *shiver* Sounds like the perfect recipe for some bug mayhem. You can watch the movie trailer here.

Bug will be in theatres this Friday, 25 May 2007. Perfect timing for the upcoming Malaysian school holidays. I think I'll grab my little cousin brother (who likes horror stuff) and pay the cinema a visit for this bug movie. Hope there aren't any real-life bugs there!

Is this a PayPerPost post?!! LOLOL, deja vu everyday whenever I see this poster.. Immediately PPP flashes across mind! But I guess it's not, in this particular case! Still, I am also damn chicken! All those horror movies at Uncle Joe's, free for the grabbing... NO WAY! I am only brave and strong when with feminine company in the cinema. Alone at home.. puaaak puaaaak puaaaak!

I've seen this sponsored post in a number of blogs, but this is the first time I'm leaving a comment - The movie had better be good!!!!!!!!!! I'm gonna give myself a rewarding scare for completing 5 years of university life, including pre-U year.

By the way, the best horror flick I've watched so far (EVER!), has got to be Shutter. It was in Thai, and it was GOOD! (The next-best one would probably be The Eye, starring our local girl Lee Sin Jie).
